Stephanie Boecher, RN, OCN, MSN, BSN, BA
Highlights
Stephanie Merce Boecher, RN, OCN, MSN, BSN, BA has been a nurse for the past 18 years. She currently serves as the director of oncology and neuroscience services at Advocate Sherman Comprehensive Cancer Center, which includes medical oncology, radiation therapy, nurse and financial navigation, research, and cancer data registry. She has been part of the multidiscipinary team responsible for NAPBC accreditation since 2011, as well as the Commission on Cancer.
Ms. Boecher has served as the nurse executive for the hospital’s nurse navigation and survivorship standardization project for the past 3 years, implementing improvements in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network distress thermometer processes, navigation documentation and electronic medical record, quality metrics, survivorship, education, community needs assessment, and navigation job descriptions. She previously worked at Presence St. Joseph Hospital’s Cancer Care Center for 7 years as a clinical nurse and educator.
Ms. Boecher has been an oncology certified nurse since 2007. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing as well as a member of the Oncology Nursing Society locally and nationally.
