Daniel P. Silver, MD, PhD, is a board certified medical oncologist and cancer researcher. He is the leader of the breast cancer program at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University, where he also directs research in medical oncology. He developed a biomarker test to predict chemotherapy responsiveness in triple-negative breast cancer, and works to find new and better treatments for this type of disease. Lu Ann CahnLu Ann Cahn is director of career services for the Temple University School of Media and Communication. She is also the author of the inspirational memoir I Dare Me, an entertaining look back on a year that changed everything for her.
