Dr. Oktay is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology and the director of division of reproductive medicine and infertility at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center. He founded the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Institute for Fertility Preservation (CRM-IFP). He is one of the world’s foremost experts in fertility preservation,ovarian stimulation and in vitro fertilization for infertility treatments. He developed and performed the world’s first ovarian transplantation procedures and pioneered new ovarian stimulation protocols for embryo and oocyte freezing for people with breast and endometrial cancer.

Dr. Oktay received a multimillion dollar research grant from the National Institutes of Health to study the impact of chemotherapy on fertility of cancer survivors. He was named co-chair of the American Society of Clinical Oncology committee for fertility preservation guideline for people with cancer. He founded and was elected as the first president ofthe Fertility Preservation Special Interest Group at American Society of Reproductive Medicine. He has published extensively in top medical journals and regularly lectures around the globe.
