- Enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, eating, and being outside
Sharon is committed to nonprofit work and relishes her current role developing programming for LBBC that serves the varying needs of our constituents. She is particularly excited about providing programming that is responsive to a diverse population and breaks down barriers, so people receive the information and support they need.
Sharon received her bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in women’s studies at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. She has a long history of nonprofit work, including her work managing programs and eventually as Co-Executive Director of the Center City branch of the YMCA of Philadelphia, and as Director of Development with a local literary magazine, Philadelphia Stories.
When not at work, Sharon enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, biking, hiking, and skiing.
Working at LBBC feels more like a calling instead of a job. I am grateful for being in a profession that is in service and enjoy being part of a collaborative team that creates programing that is responsive to the needs of our constituents in a caring and professional way.
