Felicia is a patient advocate, representing people being treated for breast cancer to pharmaceutical and research companies and to patient advisory boards. Felicia offers peer guidance to those diagnosed with the disease and their families, providing information and resources.
Breast cancer has affected three generations of women in Felicia’s family; in 2003 she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, and with early-stage triple-negative breast cancer in 2010. Felicia has benefitted from Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s community of support and uses her experience and knowledge to give back to others affected by the disease through her involvement with the organization. Her roles have included blog contributor, Hear My Voice advocate, Donna Noce Colaco Going Beyond Award recipient, and has been a member of LBBC’s Black Breast Cancer Advisory Council and Board.
