For 20 years prior to her current role, Heather worked as an occupational therapist in the physical medicine department at Greenwich Hospital, with a specialty in oncology rehabilitation, and with a focus on breast cancer. She continues to work per diem treating lymphedema.
Heather has a vision and passion for developing survivorship care and oncology rehabilitation programs, as well as the drive to improve access to these services for all oncology patients at every stage of medical care. She developed and implemented a perioperative breast surgery program for all breast surgery patients, as well as a lymphedema surveillance program.
Heather received a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s in health science as well as a Master of Science in occupational therapy degree from Mercy College. She is board certified in lymphedema treatment through the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) and is a certified oncology rehabilitation specialist. She has a Master of Business Administration in healthcare administration from Marist College and will be starting work on her doctorate degree in the fall.
