Chelsey Daugherty, MSN, RN
Nurse Navigator, Kettering Cancer Care
Highlights
- Survivorship Series Program Leader, 2023
- Kettering, Ohio
Chelsey has been a registered nurse for nine years. She started her career working in pediatric hematology-oncology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Chelsey spent her days balancing between laughing and playing make-believe in the playroom with her patients and administering chemotherapies and other nursing duties.
She eventually decided to take a break from the oncology setting with short stints in nursing at an elementary school and an ICU. Eventually Chelsey found that she missed oncology and found her way back to the field, this time working with adults. She currently spends her days meeting women who are beginning their journeys with breast cancer by answering their questions and calming their fears. Chelsey makes sure women know what to expect at their oncology appointments and provides resources to keep her patients engaged and help them to feel supported.
In Chelsey’s time spent away from work, she loves taking time with her husband, two daughters, and their family dog. She enjoys a good cup of coffee and is a mean crocheter. During the summer you can catch Chelsey at the pool or camping with her family.
