Dr. Lee earned her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a master of health science degree in general epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed an internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and a medical oncology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.

Dr. Lee has published extensively on the pathophysiology and management of breast cancer, as well as on palliative care, disparities in care, and the nuances of primary care practice. Her research focuses on the intersection of epidemiology, health services research, and implementation science, investigating modifiable factors that contribute to disparities in breast cancer survival. She ultimately aims to develop and test interventions to address barriers to equitable care, working towards improved outcomes for women with breast cancer.
