Joseph M. Serletti, MD, FACS is the Chief of Penn Plastic Surgery and is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with expertise in breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. He is a pioneer in the field of free flap autogenous breast reconstruction using the most advanced reconstructive microsurgery techniques.
He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester. After completing his general surgery and plastic surgery training there, he completed a craniofacial fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1992 and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Association and the Association of Academic Chairman of Plastic Surgery.
