Chalice C. Rhodes (formerly Jenkins), Ph.D., is a licensed and nationally certified professional counselor. She is also certified psychosocial oncology behavioral health specialist. This designation is near and dear to her heart, as she was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in September 2022. Dr. Chalice completed her master's degree in clinical psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2003. She earned her doctoral degree in human services-counseling studies in 2008 from Capella University.
With 12 years of higher education teaching experience, Dr. Chalice specializes in counseling and family therapy. Her work at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, included serving as director of behavioral health counseling and training graduate students in Dr. Harry Aponte's Person of The Therapist Training (POTT) model, and she was mentored and trained by Dr. Harry J. Aponte himself.
In response to the novel COVID- 19 pandemic, Dr. Chalice established a private practice, becoming a board-certified telemental health provider.
Dr. Chalice is a mother of two sons, an active church member, and enjoys gardening, exercising, singing, dancing, and all things water, including swimming, aqua workouts, snorkeling, jet- skiing, and water-skiing.
She is a member of the following professional societies: National Board for Certified Counselors, Center for Credentialing and Education- Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider, Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, American Counseling Association, The Black Doctoral Network, American Psychosocial Oncology Society, The American Association of Christian Counselors, and Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey.
