Ana Maria Lopez, MD, MPH, MACP, FRCP, FASCO, is a medical oncologist and integrative oncologist at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University, where she serves as professor of medical oncology and integrative medicine and nutritional science, as well as director of integrative oncology.
Dr. Lopez is a bilingual, bicultural Latina with a longstanding commitment to supporting cancer survivorship and well-being. While at the University of Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute, she initiated group visits for integrative oncology care. Through her work, she has fostered patient-centered, whole-person care, facilitated by innovations in technology, digital health, and wearables. She is committed to improving cancer health outcomes.
Dr. Lopez serves on the board of the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and on the executive board of the Society for Integrative Oncology. She is president emeritus and a master of the American College of Physicians and past chair of the Cancer Health Equity Committee for the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
She has authored more than 130 peer-reviewed journal articles and multiple book chapters.
