She is a clinical assistant professor in the department of psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. For over 8 years, Dr. Steinman was the psychiatrist for Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center, where she worked with cancer patients experiencing psychological and psychiatric difficulties, combining individual psychotherapy with psychopharmacologic treatment.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Steinman has lectured extensively to professionals, patients and families on coping, loss, grief, and psychological reactions to medical illness.

Dr. Steinman is board certified in psychiatry and is a member of many local and national professional organizations including the American Psychiatric Association.
