Anees Chagpar, MD, MBA, MPH, FACS, FRCS(C), is a professor of surgery, focusing on oncology and breast surgery, at the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.
Before joining the faculty at Yale, Dr. Chagpar served as an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Louisville, where she built the first nationally accredited breast center in Kentucky at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. After joining Yale, she spearheaded the initiative for the Yale Cancer Center to become the first NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in the Northeastern United States.
Dr. Chagpar is active in clinical trials and has widely presented and published her research. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of health professionals, global health, and leadership in academic medicine.
