Consulting Psychologist

Pamela Ginsberg

Highlights

general_content

When working with clients, Dr. Ginsberg focuses on the present rather than the past. She helps people understand what blocked them from reaching their goals, teaches them how to make better decisions, set priorities, and create and implement action plans to achieve their goals.

Dr. Ginsberg has a special interest in working with women with cancer at all stages, but also works with women facing any medical challenge. She provides support and guidance for medical decision-making and navigating the confusing world of serious illness. Her work in health psychology also includes working with family members who serve as caregivers for an ill loved one.

In addition to women with cancer, Dr. Ginsberg works with women dealing with overwhelming stress, difficulty saying "no," life transitions, career issues, relationship problems, empty-nest syndrome, mid-life issues, and decision-making challenges.

Dr. Ginsberg also specializes in grief and bereavement. She helps those who experienced a loss understand confusing emotions, cope with those around them who didn't fully understand, and navigate the process of normal or complicated grief. She works with many women who lost a child through miscarriage, infant death, accident, or illness.
