Aisha Chilcoat, ND, FABNO, is a board certified Naturopathic Doctor who earned her doctorate degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. She completed several advanced trainings in Environmental Medicine and a two-year naturopathic oncology residency at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Chilcoat also holds advanced distinction as a certified practitioner from the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFMCP), and as a Fellow of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO).
Dr. Chilcoat pursued a passion for helping and loving patients who were diagnosed with cancer. She worked as a Naturopathic Oncology Provider at the CTCA Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Newnan, Georgia, where she provided personalized naturopathic recommendations for nutrition and used several natural therapies such as vitamins and minerals, homeopathic remedies, and herbal medicine while patients were undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. Although Dr. Chilcoat primarily treated those diagnosed with a hematological malignancy, she worked diligently with patients in survivorship to support their lifestyle, nutrition, and other health concerns.
Dr. Chilcoat is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Program on Integrative Medicine at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and works on several complementary and alternative medicine-related clinical trials. Dr. Chilcoat also maintains a small consultative clinical practice while pursuing her research interests. Her primary focus includes naturopathic ncology and treating patients with environmental illness and toxicities.
Dr. Chilcoat holds a master’s degree in jurisprudence in health law from Widener University – Delaware Law School in Wilmington, Delaware, and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and natural sciences from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Prior to pursuing an education in naturopathic medicine, Dr. Chilcoat spent a number of years as a clinical researcher working on academic and pharmaceutical sponsored trials.
