Julia Wilson
Highlights
- Photography producer with BHLDN
Julia Wilson was diagnosed with stage I, HER2-positive breast cancer at the age of 35. A little over a month after diagnosis, Julia underwent a lumpectomy to remove her tumor, followed by six rounds of chemotherapy, 36 rounds of radiation, and 1 year of trastuzumab (Herceptin) infusions.
At the time of her diagnosis, Julia’s daughter was 18 months old, which made the impact of her new reality much greater. A full-time working mom that had to refocus her attention to her own well-being was unfamiliar territory.
Julia connected with LBBC in 2017, soon after her diagnosis, and remains involved with the organization through volunteer work.
Currently, Julia works as a photography producer with BHLDN in Philadelphia. She lives in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania with her husband, Luke, 4-year old daughter, Dylan, and bulldog, Dozer. She enjoys working on her children’s t-shirt project, Peppermint June, working out, and being with her family.
