Caroline Peterson, ATR-BC, LPC, is an art therapist and licensed professional counselor at Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital, and the founder of Springboard Studio.
Caroline’s Springboard Studio, in Philadelphia, is a space for mindfulness, creativity and wellbeing. She does counseling and art therapy there, with a focus on people who have cancer and other illnesses, and their family members. She also does art and mindfulness-based therapy at Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital, in Philadelphia.
She previously worked as the director of the mindfulness-based art therapy program at the Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia. She was also a group facilitator and clinical staff member at the Wellness Community of Philadelphia, now known as Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia; and senior art therapist at the Camden County Health Services Center, an inpatient psychiatric center in Blackwood, New Jersey.
She has taken part in research on the effects of mindfulness-based therapy on patients with cancer and with chronic pain.
