Maurice Nahabedian, MD, FACS

Dr. Nahabedian is the professor and vice chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital, in Washington DC. His clinical interests include all aspects of breast surgery with an emphasis on reconstruction. Dr. Nahabedian has done breast reconstruction on nearly 3,000 women using flaps, devices and other techniques. He has delivered over 900 lectures on topics related to breast reconstruction at various local, national and international events and conferences.

Dr. Nahabedian has published over 150 scientific manuscripts, editorials and discussions, as well as 45 book chapters. He is also the principal or co-editor of five textbooks focused on breast surgery. Dr. Nahabedian is the breast section editor for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, serves on the editorial boards of four other breast and plastic surgery journals, and is a reviewer for 28 peer-reviewed journals.
