Jamie serves as Penn’s Patient Advocate to the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium (TBCRC) and is a Patient Advocate Board Member for the 2-PREVENT Translational Center of Excellence in Breast Cancer. She has served as a Consumer Reviewer for the Department of Defense and an Advocate Reviewer for Komen and is a member of Komen Advocates in Science. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO)’s Breast Cancer Guideline Advisory Group and was part of the World Health Organization (WHO)’s Global Breast Cancer Initiative. She served as a Patient Advocate Panelist at the 2023 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), a meeting that she has participated in since 2018. She trained as a Peer Mentor through Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC), is a member of DBCC’s cookbook club and a fan of their Nurture with Nature events.

A former executive in investment management, she has a BS from Thomas Jefferson University, having spent a semester at the University of Salamanca in Spain. She completed the Entrepreneurship for Biomedicine (E4B) program (Fall 2021 cohort) through the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, with a team project focused on increasing diversity in clinical trials. In 2022, she joined Nemours Children’s Health as an Analyst, first on the Strategy and Business Development team, and then, starting in 2023, on the Employee Health team. She lives in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband Phil, son Luke, Feist-mix rescue dog Chaz, and 10-plus-year-old hermit crab Hermie.
