E aloha mai kākou, Melissa Ka'aeamoku Adams lives in Waipahu, Hawaii.
Melissa's advocacy interests include bringing awareness to and addressing policy changes regarding disparities in the Native Hawaiian community, educating about early breast cancer detection, and advocating for increased research for patients with metastatic breast cancer. Her professional experience includes geology lab work and patient/research advocacy with Breast Cancer Hawaii. In her leisure time, Melissa enjoys reading, camping, hiking, napping, cooking, ulana lauhala (weaving with pandanus leaves), hula, and serving her community.
It is my hope that by working with Living Beyond Breast Cancer, I will be able to bring more awareness and reach more people in my local community.
