Amy is a public interest lawyer at the Bureau of Special Education Appeals in Malden, Massachusetts. She is experienced as a teacher, a champion of children, and a racial justice advocate; Amy has taught at Boston College Law School and University of Massachusetts School of Law.
In 2013 at age 38, Amy was diagnosed with stage IIB hormone-receptor positive, HER2-positive breast cancer. She has participated in several Living Beyond Breast Cancer programs and she has been an active blog contributor. Amy was trained in LBBC’s Young Advocate Program.
As a board member, she hopes to play a role in extending the organization’s reach. She is a voice for LGBTQ+ people impacted by breast cancer, and she is passionate about responding to the disparities in health care access. Amy serves as a patient advisor to Cactus Cancer Society.
