Mary Ellen Scheckenbach, MAc, LOM

Ms. Scheckenbach is chair of the acupuncture studies program at the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She holds a Master in Acupuncture and is a licensed practitioner of Oriental medicine with 25 years of clinical experience in acupuncture and Chinese herbology.

Ms. Scheckenbach also holds a Diplomate in Acupuncture (DiplAc) from the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She has served as president, vice president, treasurer and secretary of the Acupuncture Society of Pennsylvania and was formerly with the Center for Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Current Review of Complementary Medicine in Current Medicine. Ms. Scheckenbach lectures frequently to medical schools, universities and community health groups.
