About Our Speaker
Ms. Peterson is a licensed professional counselor and board certified art therapist. She is the director of the Mindfulness Based Art Therapy Program (MBAT) at the Jefferson Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine. Ms. Peterson helps each client engage fully in his or her life. Her areas of specialty and interest include people with medical illness facing treatment and/or recovery, people diagnosed with cancer, adults challenged by past issues and people challenged with health behavior change. Ms. Peterson has been doing clinical research with people with cancer since 2002.
