When a loved one is diagnosed with breast cancer, you may want to find ways to support her even if you are not living nearby. In this teleconference, Nora Jean Levin, Elyse Spatz Caplan, MA, and Sara Goldberger, MSW, LCSW-R, explore the role of a long-distance caregiver and provide practical strategies for supporting your loved one. During this teleconference, they will help you:

About Our Speakers
Nora Jean Levin is executive director of Caring from a Distance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the needs of long-distance caregivers. Ms. Levin is responsible for the organization’s website and resources as well as speaking to the media on behalf of the organization and long distance caregivers. She is the author of “How to Care for Your Parents: A Practical Guide to Eldercare” and has written, spoken and consulted on eldercare issues for almost 25 years.
Elyse Spatz Caplan, MA, is director of programs and partnerships at Living Beyond Breast Cancer. She oversees LBBC’s educational programming and works with other organizations to form partnerships that will extend the reach and depth of LBBC’s services. Elyse represents LBBC at professional and consumer conferences, and she serves as a spokesperson for national and local news media. Elyse was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 1991 and is well known for her compassion and advocacy on behalf of all women and families affected by breast cancer.
Sara Goldberger is the senior director of programs at Cancer Support Community. She is responsible for the development of new programs and special projects and ensuring quality standards of program delivery across the affiliate network. Sara has worked in the field of psychosocial oncology for the past 19 years.
